Cloud-Cuckoo-Land

An introduction

In this piece, I tried to create a dialogue between the flute and the piano in which the two instruments converse lightheartedly and elegantly. When exchanging musical arguments, they may tune in with each other or they may disagree, but they always circle around each other respectfully and peacefully. This utopian situation lead to the title Cloud-Cuckoo-Land.

For me, the rendering of such a utopia is halfway between resignation and vision.
